AVIONICS ENGINEER
Duties:
Supplier requirement definition and coordination
Interface and control definition and coordination for flight
controls, propulsion, propellant management, pressurization,
attitude control, navigation, communication, instrumentation,
and other launch vehicle systems.
Interface and control definition and coordination for launch
vehicle ground processing automation systems.
Development lab user interface development, system modeling,
and 3D visualization development and integration.
Software design using object oriented methods.
Software coding, debugging, test, and integration.
Desired Skills / Work Experience:
Minimum of a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering, or Computer Science or related degree.
Experience developing real time control software, graphical
user interfaces and other man-machine interfaces, process
automation software, database driven software configuration.
Full avionics software life cycle development experience
for real time vehicle application.
Desired experience in Matlab (Simulink/RTW), C/C++, Object
Oriented Development, WRS Tornado compiler/debugger and
VxWorks operating system (or equivalent).
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project
and similar office automation tools.
The individual must be a motivated self-starter with good
written and oral communication skills, and willing to learn
and expand their capabilities to support the breadth of
USL products.
