Job Title: Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer

Duties:
Flight vehicle and environment modeling and analysis.
System performance, controllability and stability analyses.
Flight vehicle GN&C system and algorithm development and implementation.
System specification, sizing and requirements flow down.
Interface specification and coordination.
Aerodynamic data evaluation and modeling.


Desired Skills / Work Experience:

Minimum of a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or related degree.
Experience in flight mechanics, flight vehicle modeling and simulation and flight vehicle stability and control.
Experience in using trajectory optimization and simulation tools (i.e., SORT, POST, OTIS).
MATLAB/Simulink proficient. C/C++ programming experience a plus.
Flexible body and propellant slosh modeling experience a plus.
Mission planning and operations experience a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project and similar office automation tools.
The individual must be a motivated self-starter with good written and oral communication skills, and willing to learn and expand their capabilities to support the breadth of USL products.
